  • Stone Bridge High School received a gift of 200 dollars to support the CAPPIES production of MEDEA.

  • The Foundation contributed $1,000 to support a 5-day Shakespeare workshop sponsored by Heritage High School.  This money paid for the instructor, Charles Duff, an international theatre and opera director, teacher and author. Charles came to Loudoun County for the week directly from the Globe Theater in England.

  • Graduating seniors have received unrestricted grants totaling more than $20,000.

  • Each of the 10 public high schools in Loudoun County received a grant of $2,000 to seed the Drama Department for the 2006-07 school year.

  • The Foundation contributed $1,000 dollars to Potomac Falls High School to support a visiting improvisational instructor.

  • In 2008, the Foundation hosted a professional singing workshop at Briar Woods High School and provided a professional stage singing instruction. Pizza was served to all!

  • 2009 marked the inaugural season of the Piedmont Arts Summer Stage!  We produced “Gypsy” with a cast of students in partnership with Loudoun Youth and the Franklin Park Performing Arts Center.

  • First ever Loudoun County Musical Theater Vocal Competition was held March 7th , 2010 at Dominion High School.

  • PIEARTS supported the Cappies Review of Dominion High School’s production of “Grease” in February 2010.  Both food and volunteers were provided.

  • PIEARTS awarded 50 dollars to the winner of the Summer Stage Poster contest, a senior from Loudoun County High School.  Her design is the official show poster for Summer Stage 2010 (and she also played the role of Rona Pereti!)

  • PIEARTS donated a Sony digital video camera to Dominion High School for use in the Drama Department, 2010

  • A 400 dollar grant was awarded to a needy student in Loudoun County at special request to support a summer arts program.

  • A 100 dollar cash award was earned by Jennie Weyman for the 2011 Summer Stage Poster Design
